A welcome message from our Instructional Supervisor

Welcome to the Division of Psychological Services, where we have more than 240 school psychologists working to provide an outstanding level of service to schools and families throughout the county. Psychological Services is committed to ensuring that policies and procedures for programs/services are the highest quality available for the children of Miami-Dade County. Through its use of quality training programs, Psychological Services equips its school psychologists to assist in providing multiple services to school staff and guardians alike for students who experience academic and/or behavior difficulties.

Our staff is mostly bilingual; they are able to communicate in Spanish, Haitian-Creole, French, Portuguese, Korean, Hebrew, Hindi and American Sign Language. Moreover, school psychologists in Miami-Dade County fill an impressive variety of positions:

	traditional (response to intervention, assessment, consultation)
	clinical (services to emotionally handicapped students)
	diagnostic (for Child Find and multi-handicapped)
	support (services for alternative education programs)
	crises (intervention support)
	specialized (consultations and assessments in Autism/Asperger, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DH/H), Visually Impaired (VI), Language Impaired (LI), as well as other low-incidence disabilities)
